The stage is submerged in blue, dim light; as the gymnasts in their beautiful white outfits begin to move to the film score of Romeo and Juliet. The five minute show is glamorous and elegant, enchanting the audience with skill and expression. “When doves cry” has been the most successful wheel gymnastics choreography of the past five years. Clients have included the Nova Scotia International Tattoo, the Virginia International Tattoo and the Denver Bronco’s. “When Doves Cry” had the honor to open the World Championships in Wheel Gymnastics in Salzburg, Austria in 2007.

Inspired by the movie “Chicago“ the show team developed this choreography, which makes great visual impact through expressive movements and dance elements. They impressively interpret the theme of the movie, which is set in a women’s prison in the 1920’s. Precise, synchronized movements of the wheels and partner figures that require a high degree of coordination will captivate the audience. Costumes in the design of the golden 20ies add spice to the scenery.

The younger members of the show team, aged between 12 and 16 years, perform this show. They beautifully portray the story of the never-ending struggle of good and evil or light and darkness. Personified by the girls dressed up as fairies in white, flowing dresses and the boys as rude and annoying gnomes, it seems as if the gymnasts perform the difficult gymnastics elements along the way. The audience will be enthralled by the ease and elegance of their movements. This choreography is ideal to loosen up a show, perfect for young audiences and for those who have an appreciation for the unconventional.
